The Customer Analytics team is dedicated to empowering the Customer Services organization with actionable insights. The team analyzes data, identifies trends, and provides strategic recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction, optimize processes, and drive informed decision-making. The team's mission is to enable exceptional customer experiences through data-driven excellence.
In this role, you will work alongside other Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics Developers, Business Analysts, and Application Developers. As a Data Engineer on this growing team, your role is to be an expert at understanding SRP's data and then use it to create meaningful models and solutions. You will create and support data models, data flows, virtual models, and algorithms, to solve interesting business problems for data analysts, data scientists, and business users. The successful candidate will be a sharp coder that can identify patterns in complex data, enjoys making information more accessible and easier to use for analytics, likes to think of clever ways to solve tricky data problems, and loves working with people.
• Turn business requirements into technical requirements, data designs, models, and solutions.
• Find and understand the correct data sources for a given analysis.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Build the data pipelines required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using modern techniques, platforms, and tools.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing dataflows for greater scalability, etc.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer experience, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues.
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing innovative solutions.
Desired Technical Skills:
The successful candidate will possess these capabilities:
• For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years).
• For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years).
• For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).
A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
