This position is located in Santa Rosa, CA.
Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Forest Practice Information Systems Manager, the Forest Practice Research GIS Supervisor manages Geographic Information Systems (GIS) staff performing mapping, data input and analysis based in Environmental System Research Institute (ESRI) software. The incumbent acts as a subject matter expert, coordinates with other system managers including those responsible for managing information under the California Timber Regulation Environmental Evaluation System (CalTREES), supports the broader Forest Practice Program along with the development and assessment of ecological performance measures, and enforcement of the Z'berg-Nejedly Forest Practice Act.

  • The position(s) require(s) completion of educational courses as specified in the Class Specification (link available in the Minimum Requirements section).

Incumbents must possess 12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in any combination of a data driven research-related field, such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a research-related field. This must include at least one course in statistical methods
