Description A well-regarded San Francisco-based litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support a team of 4-5 attorneys on a long-term, remote, contract-to-hire basis. This position is available to provide coverage while their long-standing legal secretary is in and out over the next several months, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance and mutual fit. The firm handles civil litigation on behalf of both public and private clients, including high-profile matters for the City of San Francisco and PG& E. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents including pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs + E-file documents in California state, federal, and appellate courts + Format filings in compliance with court rules and procedures + Create tables of authorities and tables of contents (TOAs/TOCs); perform cite checking as needed + Manage attorney calendars and litigation deadlines using Filevine + Organize and maintain electronic case files and support trial preparation + Assist with general litigation support duties across multiple matters + No billing, transcription, or dictation required Requirements Required Qualifications: + 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience in a law firm setting + Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedures + Proficiency in Filevine and Adobe Acrobat required + Excellent document formatting skills and familiarity with trial and appellate court filing standards + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment + Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
