Description of the role:
Join us at our caregiver job fair in Poway on Saturday, where we offer on-the-spot hiring for the Job Fair Poway At Home Caregiver position. As a caregiver for Senior Helpers - East San Diego, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care to seniors in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Support seniors with their physical and emotional needs
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Previous experience as a caregiver is a plus

Day in the Life of Our Caregivers
As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will help Senior Veterans in Ramona with their daily activities such as:
- Meal preparation and planning
- Transportation for errands and appointments
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Medication reminders
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Participation in daily enrichment activities
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking caregivers with strong communication skills and a heart for helping our Seniors.
Candidates must be comfortable providing non-medical companionship and personal care.
Candidates must have a car for transportation.
Candidates must be willing to drive to clients' homes.
As part of our Caregiver Mentor Program, we will create an individualized training plan for each Caregiver.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check / TB skin test
- Licensed driver with an insured and reliable automobile (travel to a Senior's home must be dependable)

If you have experience caring for a family member or have been a full-time parent or homemaker, you can be a great caregiver if you have worked in an Assisted Living Facility, Skilled Nursing, Senior Home, or Senior Center as a caretaker.
