Job Description

We are looking for a bread baker with experience making a variety of breads like miche, country loaves, sourdough, and baguettes. Knowledge of grains, flours, preferments, and procedures is required.

Could be a great second job for someone working an overnight baking shift.

Hours/timing

• The position is 5 days/week, though the days of the week can be flexible.
• We're thinking this position will be from about 6am-12pm. It could be 7am-1pm or even longer if you have the ability to do other jobs in a kitchen. Last breads would need to be out of the oven by about 10am.

You'll be working under the executive chef and in collaboration with our pastry chef.

Responsibilities include:

• mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a small variety breads
• following recipes
• scaling recipes
• managing inventory (including receiving)
• developing and managing production schedules to fit operating schedules

Requirements include:

• a good attitude and calm demeanor
• at least one full year baking breads 
• ability to lift and carry 50lbs
• ability to stand for an entire shift
